In such a large academy with so much going on we want to make sure you stay in contact with us and we can share all our news with you.

In the past the academy has relied on paper letters, some of which don’t get home. We also aim to be as green as possible and so are reluctant to print too much.

In recent years Rushey Mead has introduced more electronic communications and we have found this to be much more reliable in getting information home quickly and easily. However, it is therefore essential that you keep the academy up to date with your latest details, in particular a current mobile phone number so that you can receive text messages and an email address. If you don’t have an email address at home and would like help in setting one up we are more than happy to help. Just call the academy and ask to speak to Kajal Patel.

Often the best way for you to contact us is via email. Our generic email addresses all have the same format as follows :

This website is also an excellent source of information and you can follow us on Twitter at @rusheymeadnews for all the latest and what is coming soon.

If there is ever a need to close the school or to send students home early as the result of an emergency, we will contact you via SchoolComms. Parents are advised to be able to access these messages via text and that school is updated with any changes in contact details.
