Consultation on the proposal to create a DSP (Designated Specialist Provision) at Rushey Mead Academy
The Mead Educational Trust is proposing the establishment of a DSP on the Rushey Mead Academy site to cater for up to 16 students from Key Stages 3 and 4. All of these students will have an Education, Health and Care Plan detailing a primary need of Communication and Interaction. The DSP will be funded by the Local Authority and admissions will be managed by them. Admissions are open to pupils from across Leicester with Education, Health and Care Plans in the appropriate need. There is more information in the associated document.
The consultation period runs for three weeks from Wednesday 10 April to Wednesday 1 May 2023 and allows anyone with an interest (for example parents, other schools and the local community) to comment. You can comment by emailing [email protected]
